It announced a Wellbeing Initiative which enables the users to determine the time spent on their phone and YouTube. The ‘Take a Break’ is an initiative to warn the user in the middle of the video streaming hopefully resulting in breaking the phone addiction.
In the selected interval of time, YouTube will remind the user to take a break from phone and videos and the reminder will keep popping up at equal intervals of time. Here are the steps to enable the Take a Break Feature in YouTube:
- Tap to open the app.
- At the top right edge of the YouTube app, tap on your profile picture.
- Go to “Settings” from the drop-down list.
- Tap on “General” (for Android users.)
- Now tap on “Remind me to take a break”.
- Select the time which suits the most.
- Suppose, you have selected every 15 minutes, then remember, the app will remind you to take a break at every equal interval of 15 minutes.
